Joiners and leavers
When HR confirms a new hire, an automation can create the account with the right licence, groups, email signature and shared folders, and send the login securely. When someone leaves, access is removed on the last day, their mailbox and files are handed to a manager, and company devices are flagged for return. Missed leaver steps are a common security gap in small companies.
Ongoing admin
Weekly checks for unused licences, accounts without two-factor login, external sharing of sensitive folders and failed backups, summarised in plain English for the owner. These checks are simple but are often skipped when IT is nobody's full-time job.
