How AEO content is written
Each page or section answers one question, phrased the way people ask it. The answer comes first, in two or three self-contained sentences that still make sense when quoted alone. Detail, examples and caveats follow underneath. Headings are written as questions where it reads naturally.
This page is an example: a short answer box at the top, then the detail. That format suits human readers who want the answer fast, and AI systems that need a clean passage to quote.
AEO and GEO are close cousins
The terms overlap and are often used interchangeably. AEO grew out of featured snippets and voice search and is about being the quoted answer. GEO is newer and broader, covering everything that shapes how generative AI describes and recommends you, including reputation and mentions off your own site.
