How PSG works
PSG helps eligible businesses adopt IT solutions and equipment that have been pre-approved for their sector or function, such as accounting, customer management or e-commerce. You choose a pre-approved solution, get a quotation from the vendor, and apply through the Business Grants Portal. Support levels, caps and eligibility criteria change from time to time, so check GoBusiness for the current terms.
A common mistake is committing to a purchase before applying. Grant applications generally need to be made before the contract is signed or payment is made.
What this means for AI
Some pre-approved solutions now include AI features, such as accounting software with automated capture or customer service platforms with AI chat. Custom AI agents and bespoke automation built for your business are usually not on the pre-approved list, so PSG is unlikely to cover them.
